NATALIA SERGUNINA: MORE THAN 60 APPLICATIONS FROM 13 COUNTRIES HAVE BEEN SUBMITTED FOR “MOSCOW SPRING A CAPPELLA” FESTIVAL

The submission of applications for participating in the open music international contest “Moscow spring A Cappella” is continued. The contestants – individual singers and vocal groups from all over the world – will perform for the Muscovites and tourists in terms of the homonymous festival which takes place from April 27 till May 9, 2018. As the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for economic policy and property and land relations Natalia Sergunina said, according to the data on February 20 more than 60 applications for participation in the contest were submitted.  

 

“Last year during the very first “Moscow spring A Cappella” contest singers from 12 countries were performing. It is almost one month left till the closure of submission period for the “Moscow spring A Cappella”-2018 and it is clear even now that the geography of the participants will be wider! During the first weeks of submission we have received 63 applications from 13 countries: Russia, the Great Britain, the USA, Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria, Denmark, Switzerland, Israel, Kazakhstan, China and India” – Natalia Sergunina told. 

 

As Natalia Sergunina has defined, 20 applications were submitted by foreign participants and 43 – from Russian participants. Many groups decided to try their forces in the main a cappella event of the year, such as participants from Moscow, Moscow region, Saint Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Vladimir, Ryazan, Yaroslavl, Amursk, Novosibirsk, Sverdlovsk and Perm regions, from the South Federal district (Astrakhan, Rostov-on-Don, Volgograd, Krasnodar) and Karelia republic. 

 

The contest “Moscow spring A Cappella” invites for participation all the willing artists, performing in a cappella genre (singing with no instrumental accompaniment), who have more than a year of singing experience and are older than 18 years old (on the moment of the contest beginning). 

 

The application forms are available in Russian and English languages. The submission will be closed on March 15, 2018, 18:00 Moscow time.
