The academic choir of the Belgorod State Philharmonic — a professional choir whose repertoire includes works of massive forms: oratorios, cantatas, requiems, operas and other musical and dramatic works, secular choral and sacred music, Russian and Western classical works, as well as music by contemporary composers.
The chief conductor of the choir — Elena Alekseeva. The choir was established in 1992 and consists of 25 members. The basis of the choir's repertoire is domestic and foreign music, adaptations of Russian folk songs, transcriptions of old Russian romances, pop lyrics, jazz, rock and, of course, the classics. The choir has repeatedly participated in various festivals and become laureates at competitions.
