The 7-strong Camerata a cappella group was established in 1986 in Minsk, Belorussia. After initial successes, the band became a regular participant in music festivals in countries in Europe, Asia and North America. The musical genre in which the musicians work can be described as world music. The band's genre combines Slavic motifs, African rhythms, oriental intonations and Asian poetry with a modern reworking. There is also a place for American jazz and European retro. But the chief protagonist is undoubtedly Belarusian folklore.
