The vocal and instrumental ensemble “Uatsamongæ” was formed in December 2015. The group’s name means ‘magic bowl’, a symbol of truth, which refers to Ossetian folk tales. The band of seven aims to preserve and popularise Ossetian musical culture. Its repertoire encompasses songs of different genres including heroic, ceremonial, labour and lyrical ballads.
