We are preparing for the major musical event of this spring! As Natalya Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations, said, vocal groups from 16 countries and more than 40 Russian regions are going to take part in the competition.

“This year the geography of the Moscow Spring A Cappella International Competition has become even wider, and its repertoire much more diverse. About 250 applications for participation in the competition were submitted, 184 soloists and vocal groups from 16 countries passed the selection round (last year’s figure was lower – we had representatives of 12 countries). The best vocalists from Russia, the USA, Germany, Italy, France, the UK, China, Kazakhstan, Israel, Hungary, India, Latvia, Korea, Portugal, Georgia, and Ukraine will treat Muscovites to superb music concerts,” Natalya Sergunina said.

As the Deputy Mayor of Moscow noted, at this competition Russia will be represented by singers from more than 40 regions, including Moscow and the Moscow Region, the Southern Federal District (Astrakhan, Rostov-on- Don, Volgograd, Krasnodar), quite a number of regions (the Leningrad, Nizhny Novgorod, Vladimir, Ryazan, Yaroslavl, Amur, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg,
Tomsk, Irkutsk, Orenburg Regions), the Perm Territory, the Republic of Karelia, Vladikavkaz, and the Crimean Federal District.
